I have 302 with racing cam. What is the correct turning light? I was told it was 8 degree advance to 14 degree advance?

Please note I just install a Edelbrock carburetor 1403.

Also my engine over heats when in traffic. I install a 160 degree. Please note That I live in Hawaii.

Regards
Gary

Timing should be 8 or 10 degrees BTDC, but you've got a different cam in it and it's been modified a little so time it where it doesn't ping and you get the best performance. When your car heats up, turn it off and go check your radiator, feel it with the palm of your hand. If you feel any cold spots your radiator isn't any good and needs replacing. If there are corroded spots or loose fins on the sides replace it. Also check the ground that was behind the battery connected to the body, those used to come loose and make you thin the car was overheating and it wasn't.
