1969 Ford Mustang V8 Automatic 57k miles
about 3 weeks ago our 69 mustang started stalling when we roll up to a stop. It just dies as though the key was turned off. No sputtering, or any indication it is going to do it. It does not do it every time, but it is very frequent. Engine temp does not seem to be connected with the problem and when the engine is running, it runs perfectly witout any indication of a problem.
The good news is the car starts (so far every time) by breathing on the key. No cranking or pumping the pedle what so ever. If I put the car in neutral when approaching a stop and give it a little throttle it seems to solve the problem, and it has never done it while driving at normal speeds. I am thinking I have an electrical problem, but have no idea where to start looking for the gremlin. RW
