Electrical problem
1968 Ford Mustang V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 100k miles

My mustang voltage, regulator, battery, alternator and some wiring is new and working. But the car ocasionally shuts off as I am driving and then might turn on and come nback off it does this occasionally soon after the first shut off. Ive take in to a mustang place to hav eit looked at and can not diagnose the problem?

Check the coil's primary and secondary resistances make sure the contact point is properly gapped. Now take a wire from the battery positive post straight to the coil positive terminal. What you are doing here is hard wiring the ignition -This will bypass the resistance wire from the ignition circuit if this fix the problem test the resistance wire and ignition switch-

Also check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel pump.
