1966 Ford Mustang Neutral safety switch

1966 Ford Mustang V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 0

Power at ignition. No power at solenoid. Power at leads to neutral safety switch. How do I check the neutral safety switch by itself? It is new and I've checked the adjustment twice and it is correct. HELP. Also, if I run a wire directly to solenoid from ignition then it starts.
