Electrical problem
1965 Ford Mustang V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic N/A miles

I feel I have a short. when everything is off the battery sparks when I hook it up. If I keep it connected the battery will go dead. I notice the ground wire that should go to the mounting bolt of the voltage regulator is gone. Could this be the problem?

Remove the plug form REG does spark go away? REG should ground through bolts via body check to see if rust free and good contact.
