when accerlaerating quickly the car misses, but runs fine at all other times. I checked timing. It's o.k. I was thinking it may be the vacuum advance isn't working properly, but don't know how to check it. Can you help please.

to check the vacuum advance. remove cap and install a vacuum pump to the advance and apply vacuum to it and see if the advance moves, also make sure it holds vacuum. i would also recheck that accelerator pump and make sure it did not malfunction.
