2002 Ford Mondeo 02 diesel mondeo fuel pump and purge quest

Engine Performance problem
2002 Ford Mondeo 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

My uplift/intank pump has developed a fault and is now not working. Question is, is the pump an extermal pump or internal pump?

Also once replaced do you need to purse the deisel fuel system or by simply trying to start the car it will do it itself?

the pump is intank ... and you should be able to restart by turning key a few times !!

Nope it wasnt intank its external and fitted by the main fuel tank. took 10 mins to replace!
