1999 Ford Mondeo Rear door central locking solenoid (UK mod

The rear door lock will only work manually from inside.
How do I replace the locking mechanism and or the solenoid

Remove door trim panel and watershield. Remove door lock actuator retaining nut. Disconnect door lock actuator connector. Disengage link from door latch. Remove door lock actuator. To install, reverse removal procedure.

Hi Dave,

Thanks for the info. I take it that it's best to replace the whole unit and not try any sort of repair.

The part is generally not serviceable .. you could try lubricating it to see if it just jammed up !!
