I parked the car yesterday and all was fine. When I got to the car in the evening the clutch had lost all resistance as if the spring keeping it taut had gone. I drove 1000 metres by putting car into second gear and revving engine to correct level.

check the clutch fluid ? check the slave cylinder ?
