1996 Ford Mondeo rear door eont open

i have a 1996 N Reg Ford Mondeo V6 Ghia. I cant open the drivers side rear door from the outside as i think the linkage has broken. the problem i have is i can't open it from the inside either as the child locks are on.

Any ideas how i can get the door open to allow me to remove the door card or at least take the child lock off????

you will have to remove the inner door panel (not an easy task with door closed, but it is possible)
