1995 Ford Mondeo How to change transmission fluid

Transmission problem
1995 Ford Mondeo Two Wheel Drive Automatic

The transmission fluid is light brown rather than cherry red and I have no idea how to change it. The car is an automatic and i've only ever had manuals

There are drain and refill plugs on the side of the transmission .. this can be a tricky repair if never done before .. also sounds like you have burned fluid and changeing the trans fluid could do more damage than good ?
