1994 Ford Mondeo Compression

I was told I have a compression problem but I don't trust these people. My car idles fine in N or P. but when In drive or reverse it starts to spudder and will not accelerate. the exhaust sound changes when this happens also. PLease help me

If your vehicle is running fine when idleing in park/neutral then your compression must be good ... I would get a second opinion .. could be a fault on the torque convertor !!
