1976 Ford Maverick Fuel System Problem

I have a problem where the engine is acting as if it is not getting any fuel from the tank. It will start if you manually feed fuel into the carburetor, but as soon as that is used up it stalls out. I checked and replace the fuel filter, could this be a fuel pump that has gone bad?

yes it sounds like your fuel pump is bad.
