Engine Cooling problem
1962 Ford Laser 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Motor runs across rather than front to back and there is a coolant leak only when car is warm just wondering if water pump is near the belts or on other side as it appears to be coming from behind the belts but the bottom hose also connects near the area too. Do u have any ideas on where the actual leak maybe coming from and why it only happens when motor is warm

Hi there,

You will have to get a mechanic to do a cooling system pressure test, this will positively identify the location of the leak, a small leak will be more visible with the engine warm and the system pressures up, the pressure test will simulate these conditions.
