2000 Ford Galaxie Front Wheel Drive Manual 95000 miles

my brake light bulb had blown so i put new one in and now my brake light still dont work but when i put my sidelights on my rear fog light comes on can you help.

check wiring and connectors for shorts .. also check you have good ground/earth connection
