Noises problem
2007 Ford Fusion 4 cyl Automatic 52,000 miles

Some mornings at start-up my Fusion makes a QUICK chirping or screech noise (like crickets) its not a constantly noise it just does it real quick and that is it. Sometimes if I let it set for a while maybe 5 or 6 hours it will do it also. This same cricket noise I get from passenger side I hear it also when I turn my ac on and shift my car from park to reverse its a little worse like screech. Screech, I hear it like 2 times kind of a short not quick chirp, if I put it back in park I do not hear it. I hear this same exact nosie when AC is on or off BUT worse when its on. It does not do it constantly while its on just at the very beginning sometimes you can hear it squeaking as its turning, So Far I have replace my Serpentine belt and no luck still the same problems, what could be causing this my pulleys? Please help me out here< I don't want to take it to the ford dealership when I can maybe get it fixed cheaper. I have never had the idler or tensioner pulley replaced, I just bought both of them but not sure if that is the problem.

What you described sounds like the serpentine(fan) belt and possibly the tensioner pulley need to be checked/replaced.

No other pulley for as ac pulley etc, bearings in alternator you think? I am a female so I have been told alot of stuff saying it could be alternator bearings going bad, ac pulley, and my first answer was what you told me so im going with the professional expert answer D: several people have told me this is what is sound like my fan belt or tensioner pulley. Once you remove the belt, you can spins the pulleys, all but the power steering! If a bearing is bad, it will show up here. Most mechanics would do this test at this stage anyway. Tensioner can be weak at 52,000 miles.

Hello, I got my tension and idler pulley replaced Friday, it did not solve the problem, it still chirps when I first turn on ac and it will stop it does it about a good min or less once it kicks in and it will stop and it want do it anymore until I cut it off for a little while and start ac back up. It roars louder than usually when compressor kicks on and off. Thanks for any answers!

Check the grooves on the pulleys for bits of old rubber from the belt. Clean them off. Check visually to see all pulleys align up with each other, sometime one pulley is in or out farther than the rest.
