2006 Ford Fusion left rear tire noise

I have noticed that when i brake and stop i hear a loud scraping grinding noise from the rear left side. it goes away when i drive more than 10km. it has gotten worse over the last couple of days. I thought it was just ice in the tire well but there is nothing there. what could cause that noise to happen?

have the brakes inspected they may be due for replacement ..
