I have a 2006 Ford Fusion 2.3l with automatic transmission. I just replaced the engine with one with 33000 miles on it. After engine installation the transmission will not work. I can shift with the shifter but transmission does nothing. I found a wire plug on the back side where the axles go into transfer case. The 3 wires pulled out of the plug and I can't get the wires back in the wire plug connector. Just wondering if this is the reason my transmission isn't working and if this is something a mechanic can fix if I get the car towed to a shop.
