I just changed the cigarette lighter fuse (20a) and it work for a little while and then blew the new one. I have heard that it may be in the assembly itself but I don't know what to search for to price the item and I don't even know if that's the problem. If it is, can I repair it myself? What do you think?

Disconnect the lighter connector-replace the fuse if it blows then its not coming from the lighter itself its somewhere else lies the short circuit.
