2004 Ford Focus before changing rear brake shoe

their is a ring on the outside of the rear drum do i have to replace this after removing it or will it go back together with existing part

what ring are you talking about? the little tin ring that is on one of the studs? all that is used for is to hold the drum on the vehicle during vehicle assembly. you dont need a new one.
