Hello,

You don’t put refrigerant directly into the compressor.
You have to hook up your gauge to the recharge port of the system. It is located on the passenger side of the vehicle behind the front wheel well liner. Once you remove the screws and drop the liner, you’ll see a metal canister; the recharge port is on top. Hook up your gauge/refrigerant bottle to it. Start the car and crank the AC on high. Check your pressure. If you need to add some refrigerant, squeeze the trigger a little bit at a time until you get a good reading. Adding some refrigerant may not be enough though. You could have a leak, and/or your system could be dirty. I suggest you go to a shop and have them put your AC under a vacuum to get all the moisture out, inspect for leaks and refill.
