Electrical problem

I have to run 2 small gauge wires from the dashboard of my car to the engine compartment specifically the battery. It's for a neon underglow kit. How would I go about safely running those wires without having to remove the entire dash or drilling a hole. If I have to drill a hole, where would it have to be, and if I have to remove the entire dash, how do I do that?

HI there,

Thank you for the donation,

You should be able to get the wires thought the fire wall at a existing loom or cable run, just have a good look around and you should be able to see somewhere handy, failing that you do only need one wire, you can mount the earth anywhere that is connected to the metal of the car body and the power wire for the switch you can piggy back with an in line fuse to an accessory hot wire from the fuse box, using a test light, you can carefully probe wires looking for a usable accessory power supply, follow the fuse wire for the cig lighter or radio, these will be the safest if you can't poke the wire through an existing cable access or loom in the fire wall.
