My 2002 Ford Focus just started stuttering when I accelerate. (The jerking is almost comparable to the jerking motion of a bad clutch release.)

It seems to idle fine. (No stuttering on idle) I have replaced the spark plugs and they do not seem to solve the problem.

The stuttering seems to go away mostly after about 10 minutes of the engine running. (Although you can tell it is not up to snuff)

Can anyone think of what else might be causing the problem?

Thanks!
