2001 Ford Focus inside car smell when heat goes on

2001 Ford Focus Two Wheel Drive Manual

When I turn my heat on to high, I have this smell allmost like exhaust coming into the car, but when the heat in on low, I really can't smell it.

Have you checked your coolant (antifreeze) level? Is there any dampness on the front passenger floor (up high under the dash)? Often heater smells are a bad heater core (leaking).
