Yesterday I stopped off at a gas station. My girlfriend was with me and I hit the automatic lock button on my door. My girlfriend tried to pull the interior handle on her door. The handle is now broke. The handle itself is still intact but it will not go back in place it is sticking out and will not open the door. I tried the outside handle and it just pulls straight out with no resistance. It will not open the door. Any Ideas on how I can go about fixing this I cannot get the door open and for now they have to crawl over the seats to get in.

Hi there,

thank you for the donation,

This is a tricky problem, I feel that what has happened is that the door lock or the linkages have failed inside the door, now the problem is you need to remove the inner door trim to be able to access this and see exactly what has gone wrong, now the catch 22 is you need the door open to do this, and to open the door. See where we are going.

Now I am not that familiar with this car, but I think you may be able to unbolt the seat and sit it on the back or remove it out the back and this may give you enough room to be able to remove the trim, I would ask you first to drop into a panel shop and ask them if this is suitable for this car, they may have a better option also, so I would try this approach first,
