2000 Ford Focus 4 cyl Automatic

Hi, my car starts and everything, but my check engine light is on and when I get to a stop sign it has stalled a couple of times, not everytime, it seems to idle low when stopping? Any tips for me, Thank-you, Dawn

Have the computer scanned for code/s-you have a problem within the engine management system that caused the CEL to turn on-This is your starting point of diagnosis, finding out what's going on
