My car ran low on oil. So i topped it up and checked the dipstick. It has now started making a very loud tapping sound from the top end of the engine. The car still runs fine but the tapping is really loud. What would most likely to have been damaged? How much work would need doing to fix it? Thats if u can fix it?

most likely lifters and possibly failed oil pump
