Transmission problem
1999 Ford Focus 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

I have just recently bought a Focus and when you put it in 5th gear the engine just revs as if it is in neutral is this just a case of adjustment on the linkage or am I looking at a new gearbox. Also when I start it up sometimes it beeps 5 times I have no clue what this means thank you.

I would get a mechanic to test drive this, but I feel that This will be an internal fault with the gear box, as for the 5 beeps, is the SRS light working at all?
