My 2006 ford fiesta has just been for its 2nd MOT. I have been given a advisory notice about ;
the rear axle beam corroded &
Front subframe & both suspension arms slightly corroded!
Is this normal for a '06 car??

Hi there,

As this is a MOT you must be in the UK, so do they still run salt on the roads to combat ice?

Hi there,

If they are using a salt based compound, then this will be adding to the problem, if you live on the coast also a factor, if the body proof sealing was not adequate also a factor.
