2006 Ford Fiesta hydraulic clutch

My clutch just went soft and its up I couldnt select gears, had to be towed. Dealer told me that the car has a hydraulic clutch. Is it covered by the warranty and what seems to be the problem exactly?

check the pedal connector to slave cylinder is still on .. a common fault on this vehicle is the connector coming off ..
