2003 Ford Fiesta Seat back lever on driver seat (3 door mod

The leveer which moves the driver seat forward broke. I got a new one but cannot get the old one off. Does anyone know how to do this??
There seems to be some sort of clip holding it in bu I cannot get to it.
Any help appreciated

your local autoparts store will be able to supply a repair manual with instructions on the repair !
