i am a new driver and i have just taken my car to a mechanic that i have not used before, i have had a noise coming from my exhaust, he told me that it was blocked and quoted me £50 to unblock it, is this a fair price? I have been told that some mechanics see women drivers coming and they use the fact that we dont understand much about cars as an excuse to charge more. I dont mind atmitting that i i am one of those women.
