1998 Ford Fiesta engine change

i changed my diesel 1.8 engine from a 1998 model to a 1997 engine. i have changed over the chip in the injector pump but the car still wont start. the relay for the glow plugs starts but when i turn the key another turn to start the engine nothing happens.

start by checking the battery is good .. the fuse are good .. all wiring is plugged in correctly .. ans wiring to starter motor is good
