1989 Ford Fiesta 4 cyl Automatic 145 miles

Dying for some tunes while driving to and from work... can I go to any local car stereo installation store and have them install a face plate in this type and model of car? It IS twenty years old... just wondering if it's a possibility and where I should go for the best deal...
