Ford Festiva - 1998 - 100,000miles

When I take off in the morning or on a cold night there is a loud clunk coming from the front left of the car, also when I apply the brakes. It happens only once when I take off then when I brake and continues until the car warms up and then stops.

Any ideas??

If anyone can help, i would really appreciate it.

might seem weird but my old lady had a similar problem and it was because the garage didnt tighten the lugs tight enough and it was slipping and rotating a little and thumping on the posts id check that first then come back

I checked the lugs, and they definately are tight
