1993 Ford Fairmont Engine trouble!

Hi there!,

My car has started making a clacking noise from top of motor increasing in noise as engine is revved. Does not seem to affect performance. What could be causing this?

clacking noises can be a lot of things and really should be checked out by a pro so he can actually hear it. But it could be a lifter that has pumped down due to dirt. It could aslo be a rocker arm that has loosened up.
