1989 Ford Fairmont 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

My car is not idling properly an not sure why. once i get going it runs ok untill i take my foot off the accelerator to slow down, then it stalls. I have checked the air temp sensor, oxygen sensor, and cleaned the distributor cap and rotor button. the cap and rotor button are not the best.

Do you have a check engine light and when was the last tune-up??

Check the idle speed controller and clean out the EGR valve and see what happens-
