1980 Ford Fairmont modulator valve

c4 transmission when changing modulator is there a small pin at the end of it & if so will it come out with the valve or will it run out with the oil or maybe just stay there in any case how do i keep from losing this i sure don`t wanna lose it

it's a valve that goes in the valve body. As long as you are careful when you take the omofulator out it will be ok. Make sure your hose going to the modulator isn't cracked or leaking.
