Engine Performance problem
1963 Ford Fairlane V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

i have an old car that i just dropped in a new 302 and now that I'm starting to tune on it i notice the exhaust does not sound even it has a low sound but every once in a while the sound will skip or like blow harder like it goes do doo dod od do do do do. it sounds like a the sound when you blow through your teeth I'm not sure how warm I'm getting the engine but i once got it to not do that. but then I kept playing with the carb. i think the exhaust might be stock. its old... but i think it might be to rich but on an Edelbrock carburetor I'm not sure if screwing the screws in leans it out or not.

I have a 62 with a 302 and mine did the same thing. found that the 302 carb needed to be rebuilt.
