Transmission problem
2003 Ford F350 V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 03' F-350 with the 6.0L and an automatic. I use a SCT programer. Inovative Diesel sells me the custom tunes, they are the best. I updated the firmware on my programer through SCT, They did the updating. Then I tried to reprogram my truck. On the stock tune it would barely start. I then put a custom tune. The transmition would not fully engauge in revrese, not shift above 4th gear, and would act like it was in netural while driving sometimes. I called Inovative Diesel, explained the porblems that I have, they sent me new updated custom tunes. When I installed one the engine starts and runs great but the transmition still has the same problems, light on the tow mode button flashes also. They told me to take it in and have ford to reset the computer. They told me that I now have 2 injectors bad and the plantary is out of the transmission. I told them to reset the computer, 10min later they told me the computer was reflashed and it did no good, I drove the truck home. These problems started the minute I tried to reprogram the truck. Help me please. Chuck

So Ford reprogrammed it back to original baseline? If so and theengine or trans lights are flashing or lit up, you should be able to have it scanned to see what the computer sees wrong. Did the truck have any issues before all of this "reprogramming"?

Not any problems. It ran strong. The ford dealership said that the coade were #4 & #5 injectors were out and the plantary was out of the transmission, but I don't know how comptant thay are, I had an appointment to re-flash the truck and they started changing the oil instead. The straegy codes were VXAM74A & TQAR1A3 when I got the truck back they are now VXAN0N2 & TQAT0A3.

Do you have a code reader that tells the "P" codes? You may want to see if there is another Ford dealer near you that can flash the PCM back to original for you.

Thank you guys for taking the time to help me, I will"spread the word" about your guy's website. Can the PCM be the cause for my trouble?
Thanks again, Chuck T.

Its very possible. If the PCM has dropped the injector drivers, they wont work. Since it all started with the software update, I would think that a stock flash would bring it back. This is actually why I never recommend aftermarket programmers/software. The odds that they spent as much as Ford to R&D their product is unlikely.
