My truck shakes quite a bit on acceleration and at idle on deceleration it smooths out. As soon as you hit the gas it starts again. If you are rolling at 30-40 mph and shift to neutral shaking stops. It does shake in park, drive and reverse. Also there is a strong sulfur odor from the exhaust. And a check engine light on. Where do I start to look to fix this or these problems. Thanks.

Hi wendell77 and TY for the donation

Your starting point of diagnosis here is to get the computer scanned for OBD2 code/s you have a problem within the engine management system without it there's no lead to the problem get back asap

I ha dthe obd2 scanned two codes came up (1st) p0316 -crankshaft position sensor. I replaced it
(2nd) p0305- cylinder misfire detected - cylinder #5
probable cause: spark plug fault, or wires or coil, vaccuum leak, injector fault or high or low fuel pressure.
How do I know which cylinder is #5? What should check next without having to replace every thing on the list? Thanks wendell

What liter engine do you have? A misfire in a specific cylinder should prompt you to check that cyl sparkplug, compression and injector

Engine misfiring can be caused by worn or fouled spark plugs, a weak spark (weak coil, bad spark plug wire), loss of compression, vacuum leaks, anything that causes an unusually lean fuel mixture (lean misfire), an EGR valve that is stuck open, dirty fuel injectors, low fuel pressure, or even bad fuel.
