My transmission got hot on a trip last year. I have a factory trans temp gauge and it usually never gets past 1/2.It got into the yellow and almost into the red. I changed the fluid after this episode and temp is fine until I go 70+ mph. It quickley goes into the yellow and nearly to the red. What could be the problem?

Hi there,

Have a transmissions specialist check the transmission for slipping, this can over heat the oil, also consider having a larger transmission oil cooler fitted, this will also help a lot.
