Where is the cabin filter located in my 01 f 350 powerstroke and how do I change it?

There is no stock filter for 2001's. This was an add on assembly put on by dealers, very rarely. Yes, I know, all the parts books show the filter. But if you check around, you'll see this same question brought up again & again !
I practically ripped my dash apart ! Lol
Here is what the book says " This vehicle is not equipped with a cabin air filter."

The cabin air filter is available as an optional dealer-installed kit. If your vehicle did have the filter dealer-installed, it will be located under the right side of the instrument panel in the HVAC housing.
