hello i was told in order to change the clutch slave cylinder i have to drop the transmission is this true

CLUTCH SLAVE CYLINDER
Removal

Raise and support vehicle. Remove roll pin from hydraulic line. Disconnect hydraulic line from slave cylinder. Remove slave cylinder.
Inspection
Check clutch slave cylinder for leakage. Replace slave cylinder as necessary. Also, check slave cylinder for weak spring, worn or damaged piston and worn or damaged boot.
Installation
To install, reverse removal procedure. Bleed hydraulic system. See BLEEDING. Depress clutch pedal 10 times to fill clutch slave cylinder and to seat components.
