When my truck shifts it has always been like it had a pre shift before locking in. I have noticed lately that when it locks in I hear a sound coming from it. It has gotten worse and I can now feel a viabration in the floorboard when hearing the noise. It does not last long 1-3 seconds then goes away. I do notice it worse when pulling a trailer.

If it is shuddering in between gears, I would have it looked at before it quits working all together. That sounds like the clutches slipping (chattering) between shifts, could do damage to the trans internally.
