My clutch is going out and I was having to cram the clutch to the floor to get the starter to engage. Is this a clutch problem or is there some switch malfunctioning keeping my truck from cranking when I turn the key?

What is the litre size of engine? Do you have a security system? Check the wiring at the starter relay. The info I looked at was a 5.8L. The top left wire is hot all the time. The top right wire goes hot with key in the crank position and is wired through the clutch switch. The clutch switch should be located near the clutch pedal arm. Any testing make sure tranny is in neutral and the e-brake is set.

If you have to keep pushing the clutch pedal to get it to crank it is for sure the clutch switch like the first guy said located on the clutch arm
