Is there anything particular I should know about replacing the starter? I have had trouble doing other repairs on this truck and don't want to start until I know.

thank you!

1. Disconnect the Neg. battery cable. 2. Raise the front of truck and install jackstands beneath frame rails and apply parking brake. 3. Tag and disconnect the starter wiring. 4. If necessary, turn the front wheels to the right. On some later models, it will be necessary to remove the frame brace. 5. Remove the starter bolts and remove starter.
