Electrical problem
1989 Ford F350 V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic alot miles

1989 Ford F350 V8 diesel Two Wheel Drive Auto

KEY LOCK CYLINDER WAS SLOPPY WHEN I BOUGHT THE TRUCK LAST MONTH.
YESTERDAY, I TURNED THE KEY & NOTHING HAPPENED. I CHECKED THE IGNITION SWITCH & CONNECTOR, FUSES & KEY LOCK CYLINDER. I REPLACED THE ABOVE WITH NEW PARTS. AND. IT'S STILL DEAD. THE TRUCK WILL CRANK BUT OUTSIDE SOLENOID BUT WON'T STAY STARTED DUE TO NO POWER TO IGNITION.
THE HEADLIGHTS, EMRG FLASHERS, AND BRAKES LIGHTS ALL HAVE POWER. BUT. NO POWER TO THE IGNITION SWITCH. TESTED WITH TEST LIGHT. MY OWNER'S GUIDE NOTES AN 18 GA. FUSE LINK THAT PROTECTS THE IGNITION SWITCH & PANEL FEED BUT IT DOESN'T GIVE A LOCATION. THE TRUCK HAD BEEN RUNNING AND STARTING FINE BUT NOW NOTHING IS HAPPENING. NO STARING DASH LIGHTS, NO BUZZERS, NO CLICKING, NOTHING. PLEASE HELP!
also, looks like this same question has been posted once before. And i'm wondering is this is a common problem with this model?

THANKS IN ADVANCE

Sorry for the late reply. I realize this is an old post. In the future hope you don't have any vehicle issues, but, if you do, keep the site in mind. They are always working to improve the site.

To answer your question, I'd have to check wiring circuits to and from ignition switch. In the diagram, the top wire is voltage to ignition switch. The bottom wires are voltage from ignition switch.
