My speedometer will go wacky at various times. When sitting at a red light the speedometer will bounce from 0-40, 0-50 but if it bounces to 90 or more it will stall the truck. The engine will restart with no problem. Is this all cause by the speedometer sensor.

Truck shifts fine and runs fine while moving above idle speed. I have no check engine lights that have come on. I plugged a meter into the socket under the dash and no codes where given.

Code reader will not do the job. Need a diagnostic scan tool. Like Snap-On, OTC, Pro-Link iQ. these will be able to read VSS input and speedo function.
