Where are the fuel filters located on an F-250 super duty, 6.0 turbo diesel? Do you have step by step directions on changing those filters?

Remove filter lid remove filter replace and replace lid. See pic below.

Hello,

As stated above I have a '03 F250 with apporx 85K miles. Lately, with the engine off, I've noticed a strong diesel smell/odor when next to the truck that wasn't there before. I also see a small stain on the concrete which has confirmed my suspicion as it too smells like diesel. Question, is what could be leaking? Is this a fuel filter or fuel hose? Don't know a lot about this stuff but don't mind getting dirty. Just need to know if this is could be a DIY thing and what to look for.

It could be a number of things. I would check the filter/ housing, checked for cracked fuel lines or loose lines. Use a flash light and a mechanics mirror and while the vehicle is running look around the motor for leaks.

Relieve the fuel system pressure.
Disconnect the fuel lines from the fuel filter using Ford fuel line disconnect tool.
Remove the fuel filter.
Loosen the fuel filter clamp screw.
NOTE
Make sure that an audible click is heard when installing the fuel lines. Pull back on the fuel lines to confirm engagement.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

I just Replaced my fuel filter I drove for about 200 miles and then pulled into a gas station where I realized the was fuel fuel shooting from the fuel filter I took the filter off then put it back on it was fine for about 3 days then did the same thing I have no idea why this happening any suggestions?

I had the same thing happen, The shop forgot to take the old fuel filter gasket off when they replaced with a new one, so then I had two gaskets on causing it to leak. Not a mechanic but sharing my pain.

Would like to know how to check the fuel pump pressure and where the fule filter is located

Fuel filter is located inline from the tank, just follow the lines, there is also one in the tank on the pump, dont clog much.

To check the pressure you will need to thread a fuel pressure check guage onto the scrader valve on the fuel rail and then perform the test you want.

I can not get the fuel filter away from the mount located on the inside of length beam. Also I can not get the fuel line away from filter while the filter still in the mount. I have even disengaged the clips on both side of filter and can not pull the lines away from the filter. I feel challenged. Help. Rick

Remove the filter-to-fuel line retainer clips.
Disconnect the quick-connect couplings from both ends of the filter.
Remove the two nuts from the filter studs and remove the fuel filter bracket.

WARNING
Be careful to avoid kinking the fuel lines!

To install:

Note the direction-of-flow arrow on the new filter. The arrow should point to the tab of the fuel filter bracket against which the filter rests.

Install the filter assembly and the two nuts. Tighten the nuts to 6-7 ft. lbs. (8-10 Nm).
Install the push-connect fittings to the filter ends.
Snap the filter into the clips.
Lower the vehicle and connect the negative battery cable.
Turn the ignition switch to RUN several times-without starting the engine-and check for leaks.

You need a specific tool to release these filters so that you can insert it in end of the line and release the clip holding the line in the filter.
